Tin Can Bay RSL gets a facelift

One of Tin Can Bay's most loved establishments, the RSL at Lions Park, got a much-needed facelift this month with our very own David and Sarah painting the building.

We were contracted to paint the exterior of the RSL by the Gympie Regional Council, which holds responsibility for the external building maintenance. The RSL has never looked better - transforming from what was once a light green and white facade to a refreshed french navy, surfmist and white.

RSL President Don Holland said, 'We're proud to see the RSL looking so good after being newly painted in heritage colours.

The professionalism of the contractors was apparent during a recent inspection of the work. David Weissman has been a professional painter for 24 years and takes great pride in the quality of his work'.

The RSL facility is one of the social hubs of Tin Can Bay where hundreds of locals and visitors gather for a range of events every month including the Saturday Markets, Saturday lunches, Sunday BBQs, veterans and community morning teas, dance lessons and training courses.
